Bronwen Holden writes: Penny Vine brought older people and primary school children together

In Leeds in the early 2000s, Penny Vine and I used her “circle time” technique to bring together older people and primary school children in activities to promote mutual understanding and recognition. Her empathy, creativity and sense of fun made it a great success. As an older participant put it: “You couldn’t beat it … just pure satisfaction … the way the kids related to us.”
