Boeing image | King penguins
• A review of the Netflix documentary Freefall: A Reckoning for Boeing was accompanied by an image captioned as being of the “wrecked fuselage of a Boeing 737 Max”. In fact, the photograph showed the reconstructed wreckage of TWA Flight 800, a Boeing 747 that crashed in July 1996, killing all 230 people onboard (Two plane crashes, 346 deaths and still no answers, 20 August, G2, p10). This error was in print only.
• An article (Former teacher keeping people at bay to build king penguin colony, 16 May, p27) referred to king penguins in Chile’s Tierra del Fuego nesting on Cecilia Durán Gafo’s land; in fact, the birds nest on land neighbouring her reserve. Also, to clarify, the process of agreeing a long-term protection order for the reserve, which began in 2011, remains ongoing.
