Martha’s rule

• An article (More than 500 patients helped by Martha’s rule, 1 May, p9 from p1) said that the coroner ruled that 13-year-old Martha Mills would probably have survived “if doctors had spotted sooner that she was suffering from sepsis”. In fact, the coroner found that she would probably have survived sepsis if doctors had transferred her to intensive care earlier.
