UK’s defence planning | VAR review

• Owing to an editing error, an article (Off target, 11 May, p31) said Fiona Hill used the term “corrosive complacency” in relation to the UK’s defence planning. In fact it was George Robertson, a co-author with Hill of last year’s strategic defence review. This error was in print only.

• A VAR review of second yellow cards will be mandatory for football bodies to adopt, not discretionary as an article said (A bridge too VAR, 12 May, p40).
