Eid al-Adha | Gōtokuji temple, Tokyo

• It was Eid al-Adha, the second main festival in Islam, that started this week, not Eid al-Fitr (Riot police fire teargas to break up opposition protest in Turkey, 27 May, p28). Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, was in March.

• The Gōtokuji temple is in Tokyo, not Kyoto (The cats of Japan cough up £14bn for economy, 28 May, p31).
