Corrections and clarifications
The Nerve magazine | Wordplay puzzle | UK geography
• An interview with Stewart Lee said that the online magazine he now writes for, The Nerve, was “funded” by Carole Cadwalladr and others. In fact, she is one of its founders; funding comes from its subscribers (‘I was miserable for a lot of this century’, 29 August, Saturday magazine, p24).
• In last Saturday’s Missing Links puzzle, the answer for d) was “saga”, not “sage” (Solutions, p54). This error was in print only.
• An article said it was unbelievable that Aberdeen was further west than Bristol. Rightly so: Aberdeen is further east; the intended reference was to Edinburgh being more westerly than Bristol (Demands of job reduce the age of managers, 29 August, Sport, p4).
