The cult comedy horror has been brought back to life. Plus: Grayson Perry heads to California to confront the terrors of AI. Here’s what to watch this evening

The ’Burbs

9pm, Sky One

Keke Palmer is far too good for this take on the 80s cult horror comedy, with its hit-and-miss gags. She and Jack Whitehall play optimistic new parents Samira and Rob, who have moved to typical suburban cul-de-sac Ashfield Place – except it has a collection of weird residents and a terrifying abandoned house. This week, things become even more sinister at the block party. Hollie Richardson

Help! I Bought It at Auction With Sarah Beeny

8pm, Channel 4

More challenging renovations as this latest TV spin on Britain’s housing crisis continues. In Somerset, Alice hits a literal brick wall as she begins her conversion. Meanwhile, early improvements to Leezac’s bargain Herne Bay terrace property reveal a steel beam that could derail the whole project before it starts. Phil Harrison

Ambulance

9pm, BBC One

The Yorkshire paramedics continue to help the people of England’s largest county in the series finale. While Alistair attends to Paul, who has fallen 6m (20ft) from a ladder on to concrete, Jeff and Eddie are rushed to a dialysis patient with suspected renal failure, and a doctor’s prescription is emergency-delivered by mobility scooter. Michael Jackson: An American Tragedy

9pm, BBC Two

The second episode of this three-parter opens with the first serious allegations of child abuse in 1993, after which comes a decade-long trial in the court of public opinion. The clips of celebrities assuming Jackson’s innocence are fascinating – but his own behaviour, including marrying Lisa Marie Presley and being interviewed by Martin Bashir, proves unhelpful. Grayson Perry Has Seen the Future

9pm, Channel 4

What does it mean to be human? That’s the question Grayson Perry is focused on as he delves into the terrifying world of AI and technology to inspire his next artwork. He heads off on a trip to Silicon Valley to find out exactly what tech is about to change our lives and the way we exist. HR

Twenty Twenty Six

10pm, BBC Two

More comms comedy as the World Cup looms and the team’s thought leaders, thread analysts and sentiment curators have a brain dump about attracting a younger audience. Elsewhere, Ian has a job for gormless Will, who has followed him to the US. Can he fetch him a coffee? It’s a firm maybe. PH

Sport

Champions League football: Arsenal v Sporting 7pm, TNT Sports 1. Second leg of the quarter-final.
